Felix Baumgartner descended, at the fastest point, at 833.9 miles per hour… translating to MACH 1.24 !!!
Felix is the first person ever to go supersonic during freefall, traveling faster than the speed of sound! He also broke the record for highest freefall jump when he leaped from the edge of the stratosphere at a height of 128,100 feet or just a shade under 25 miles up.
